About Abbey
Abbey is a neurodiversity affirming therapist. She uses a play-based approach that is family-centered.
Empowering parents to be active participants in their child’s language development is an essential part of Abbey’s therapy approach. Abbey received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2013. She worked in British Columbia for 5 years in a variety of settings including schools, private practice and child development centres before returning to Alberta in 2018. Since then, Abbey has worked in preschools and daycares. Abbey values working in a multidisciplinary team and has worked closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, behaviour consultants, teachers and program support aides.
